Yoga Therapy for Breast Cancer Survivors

Andiappan Yoga Community has partnered with HKBCF to conduct Tailor made Yoga Therapy Program for Breast Cancer Survivors. AYC's Founder and Director initiated this program on 18th of July and introduced Yoga Therapy sequence for breast cancer survivor's. Anahata Yoga's Master Mahesh assisted the class while Master Dhiraj taught meditation and relaxation techniques. Participants include some of the HKBCF staff and patients.
Andiappan Yoga - Pavanamuktasana Sequence along with some simple breathing and relaxation techniques will be taught by qualified and trained AYC's teaching volunteers. According to Dr. Andiappan, regular practice of this tailor-made sequence will help reduce fatigue and improve quality of sleep, physical vitality, and overall quality of life. Dr. Andiappan also completed a research study and the findings include women taking yoga had improvement in fatigue, physical functioning, and quality of life compared with those in the program who did not take the yoga classes.
