My yoga journey started about 2 years ago in Hong Kong. Prior to starting yoga, I experienced a spontaneous kundalini awakening in 2023 which involved intense psychological and physical challenges. My unresolved trauma and uhealthy coping mechanisms such as alcohol misuse, smoking and eating disorders were brought to the surface. Moreover, my fibromyalgia, muscle weakness and chronic pain was significantly impacting my daily life.
Hatha Yoga, Yin Yoga, Yoga Therapy and Pranayama and Meditation greatly helped me as I healed my trauma, replaced my maladaptive behaviours with healthy ones and improved my physical health. Overtime, yoga became not only a healthy coping mechanism but a way of life.
