Patsy started her ballet training at the age of three, was qualified by the Royal Academy of Dance with an Elementary Level in 1991. She practiced jazz and modern dance after moving to San Francisco, USA in 1993, started teaching part time at the Millbrae Dance Academy while studying at the California College of Arts for her Bachelor Degree in Illustration. She had her first yoga lesson in Perth, Australia, while she was at her vocational visit held by Rotary HK in 2005. She was in love with yoga since then, practiced Hot Yoga after returning Hong Kong. In 2008, she started her 200 & 300 hours yoga teacher training with her inspiring teachers Master Dickson Lau, completed 100 hours prenatal yoga teacher training in 2011. In 2010, Patsy spent a summer practiced at Yyoga Vancouver, Canada. In 2017 Patsy starts practicing with Master Yogananth Andiappan till present, She has completed her second 300 hours advanced yoga teacher training and 300 hours Yoga Therapy teacher training with the International Yoga Academy with Master Yogananth Andiappan as her main teacher.
Patsy is deeply thankful to Master Yogananth Andiappan, her lifetime Guru, gives her an opportunity to be a volunteer teacher of the Andiappan Yoga Community, she teaches pain patients and stroke patients yoga therapy classes at the Hong Kong Buddhist Hospital and Anahata Yoga for the patients from Queen Elizabeth Hope weekly. She is also teaching elderlies at the Asia Women’s League Elderly Centre.
Patsy is a mother of three kids, she loves to share her experience and knowledge of being a mother through prenatal and post natal yoga. Yoga practice for women is definitely a great tool for being a prettier person from inside out.
Patsy believes everyone could be a better person through yoga practice. The greatest happiness is leading her students to seek their connection of body and soul, live with a healthier life, think with a positive mind. May everyone always be surrounded with love and peace, first be a better individual then create a better world.
