About this Project:
The Andiappan Yoga Community is partnering with the Tung Wah Group of Hospitals Jockey Club Tai Kok Tsui Integrated Services Centre to share the practice and benefits of yoga with female high school students aged 12 to 18. The Centre is dedicated to providing integrated services that promote community well-being, support personal development, and create a nurturing environment for young people.
This initiative aims not only to introduce yoga as a valuable tool for relaxation and mindfulness but also to equip students with practical knowledge and skills essential for their future studies and careers. Yoga can empower young women by fostering self-discipline, resilience, and a sense of community.
Through a series of engaging and uplifting yoga classes, we seek to enhance their self-esteem, improve body coordination and awareness, and help reduce daily stress and anxiety. In a fast-paced world filled with academic pressures and social challenges, yoga serves as a sanctuary for young women to connect with themselves and cultivate a positive self-image.
